Department of Infrastructure Local Government and Planning (now Department of State Development, Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Planning)

Project

The Department of State Development, Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Planning
(DSDMIP) engaged LUTI Consulting to undertake a Willingness to Pay analysis for transit access and urban renewal across South East Queensland (SEQ).

The analysis of the land markets across SEQ demonstrated that there is significant demand for proximity to the region’s rail and busway network, and the results of the study are being considered by Queensland Government as an evidence base of land market value creation from transit investment for application to future integrated transit and urban renewal projects. LUTI have applied the model on the following projects: Cross River Rail; Gold Coast Light Rail; and Sunshine Coast Mass Transit.

LUTI’s Role

In November 2016 LUTI Consulting were engaged to undertake a SEQ region wide hedonic price modelling study to demonstrate the Willingness to Pay for proximity to transit.

LUTI Consulting were engaged directly by Department of Infrastructure Local Government and Planning (now Department of State Development, Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Planning).
