Sydney Metro

Project

Sydney Metro Greater West connects communities and travellers with the new Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport and the growing Parkland City region. The city-shaping project, from St Marys through to the new airport and the Western Sydney Aerotropolis, will be approximately 23 kilometres in length and link residential areas with job hubs including the new Aerotropolis, and connect travellers from the new airport to the rest of Sydney’s public transport system.

Sydney Metro conducted the Final Business Case (FBC) for the St Mary’s to Aerotropolis line, and a Strategic Business Case (SBC) for the broader rail connections to the north (Tallawong), south (Campbelltown), south east (Leppington), and east (Parramatta).
